Facilitator - Kelsey McGarry
I am passionate about providing support for children, and the people they love. Support to grow healthy and successful relationships, and I believe the role of the parent, or anyone caring for children is vital. Vital to the child’s well-being and the well-being of society as a whole. This belief is why in 2016 I decided to train with Pennie Brownlee, and complete Dance with me in the Heart Level One & Level Two, followed by the Heart Dancing for Facilitators.
For the last 30 plus years I have worked and learned alongside our nations littlest citizens as a Registered E.C.E Teacher, Newborn & Child Photographer, Psychopaedic Training Officer(IHC), Mother of 3, Infant Massage Facilitator, Nanny, and Gymnastics Instructor, but felt there was more. More that I wanted do. So at the end of 2016 I gave up my career as an Early Childhood Educator to utilise all my experiences and knowledge gained through those years to support parents in their journey of parenthood, to help them see their child as I see them. To see their child as amazing, capable, free and equal human beings. As people who need love, tenderness, sensitivity and support for their natural unfolding to take place. To help parents join their children in partnership so the children’s inner gifts can shine and parents can become the parent they want to be.
‘Parenting With Heart’ is actually the beginning of the realisation of a dream I had many years ago about wanting to create a place where parents could drop in if they didn’t want to be alone, somewhere where they could rest both mind and body along this road that can be exciting, exhausting, lonely, happy, sad and confusing, but extremely rewarding. A place to be held, to be loved, to be supported, to share and to be shown their strength. A place to BE and to be HUMAN.As well as facilitating these classes for parents and children, I enjoy the opportunity to mentor E.C.E teachers and facilitate workshops whenever I can.
Kelsey has a wealth of experience in the childcare sector and genuinely loves each and every child she cares for. Kelsey cared for my children for just under a year and my children and I both consider her to be a second mum.
Kelsey has a peaceful aura that allows both children and adults alike to feel comforted in her presence; she is relatable, understanding, patient and knowledgeable.
Kelsey has shown me that there is no “right/perfect” way to parent a child, however with this practice, parenting can be an enjoyable experience for both the child and parent.
I cannot speak highly enough of Kelsey, she will do her utmost to help in any way she can.
